I am a Pediatric Hospitalist, a doctor who specializes in the care of hospitalized children, practicing a little over 15 miles South of Chicago. Here are some thing I am working on in no particular order:
- 🔨 Building within Epic as part of the Physician Builders Group at my hospital
- Redesigning our inpatient notes to improve EHR workflows
- Treating all things sepsis as the Sepsis Committee Physician Co-Director
- Serving as pediatric lead for a project integrating clinical pathways into our Epic EHR
- Co-chairing our hospital’s Pathway Workgroup Committee, reviewing and publishing the excellent work of our healthcare team
- Simulating code blue scenarios for our residents as the Residency Simulation Lead
- Volunteering to test all things AI that our hospital system is rolling out—currently:
- AI scribes
- AI-generated hospital course summaries
- This blog!
- Raising my two boys- a 2 year old and a 1 month old 😮
